Bunions

A bunion is a problem that can develop due to a deformity of the foot.  The bone which joins the first toe, the first metatarsal, becomes prominent on the inner border of the foot.


Hammer Toes

Hammer toe describes shape the toe may take when the joints are contracted and deformed. Other shapes of deformed toes are described as claw toes/mallet toes.


Morton’s Neuroma

Morton’s neuroma is an enlarged nerve that usually occurs in the third interspace, which is between the third and fourth toes. This causes pain and numbness in the toes.


Pain After Ankle Sprain or Heel Pain

Ankle sprains are the commonest injury in sport and result in significant morbidity. Up to 40% of patients have ongoing disability and impairment after an ankle sprain.

Arthritis is a broad term for a number of conditions that destroy the workings of a normal joint. This is due to damage and loss of the joint cartilage or lining of the joints.


Acute foot and ankle fractures

The ankle is one of the most frequently injured areas of the skeleton. It can present with symptoms similar to those of an ankle sprain.


Tendon disorders /Achilles Tendinitis

Tendons are bundles or bands of strong fibres that attach muscles to bones. Inflammation can occur in these areas causing pain.


Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis causes heel and arch pain due to inflammation of your plantar fascia. Your plantar fascia is a strong band of tissue (like a ligament) that stretches from your heel to your middle foot bones. It supports the arch of your foot and also acts as a shock-absorber in your foot


Diabetic foot disease & other Foot deformities secondary to residual clubfoot, neurological disease or trauma.
